Océane McCord has been a mover since childhood. Océane studied dance at Idyllwild Arts Academy and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. She then moved to NYC, where she danced professionally, touring internationally with major dance companies. While training in NYC, Océane discovered Pilates with Terri Steele. She felt an immediate improvement in her performance and injury prevention. Océane quickly fell for Pilates and was certified at the Kane School of Core Integration under the direction of Kelly Kane.

Through workshops with Irene Dowd, Bonnie Bainbridge-Cohen, Eric Franklin, Liz Koch, and Amy Taylor-Alpers, she integrated biomechanics, anatomy, and embryology into her teaching. Océane moved to Paris, where she taught Pilates while learning French and sculpture. She has been teaching for 13 years and is passionate about mind/body/spirit awareness using a holistic approach. She has lived in Ojai since 2013 and continues to teach and dance locally.
