Coming Home: A Yoga Nidra Ritual

Community Rest, Care, and Co-Regulation

In an age where our nervous systems are pulled toward constant digitization and disconnection, this one-hour ceremonial practice with Shannon Algeo invites you to return to your inner world with compassion, curiosity, and care. Through the ancient healing practice of Yoga Nidra, complemented by live music and Shannon’s singing, we’ll soften into deep rest, cultivate empathy for ourselves, and explore the rich landscape of the unconscious psyche.

This practice guides you in the intrapsychic work of regulating your own nervous system while also experiencing the gentle co-regulation that arises in shared presence with others. Rooted in Shannon’s work as a psychotherapist and Yoga Nidra teacher, this ritual of community care invites you to

  • explore your inner creative landscape,

  • transition into a new season,

  • stitch back together exiled parts of self, and

  • tune the instrument of your nervous system toward wisdom and peace.

Research on non-sleep deep rest (NSDR) practices like Yoga Nidra shows they can significantly reduce stress, improve emotional regulation, and enhance learning and creativity.

Join for this one-hour ceremony of rest, remembrance, rejuvenation, and restoration.

"Yoga Nidra is not merely a practice for sleeping. The practice of Yoga Nidra invites us to wake up to all the spaces within ourselves where we are sleeping." —Tracee Stanley, author of Radiant Rest and Shannon's Yoga Nidra teacher and mentor.
